Our advisory groups (top level)

Avon and Somerset have a range of Independent Advisory Groups, representing a large variety of communities, businesses and cultures. They have one thing in common: wanting to make a positive difference to policing across the region.

  • Strategic IAGs (top level)

    This Group works closely with Avon and Somerset’s Senior Police Officers and staff to set the strategy for all of our IAGs and make sure our communities’ voices are heard.

  • Geographical IAG (top level)

    These IAGs address issues, offer insight and share experience to strengthen relationships between neighbourhood police teams and their local communities, businesses and venues.

  • Specialist IAGs (top level)

    These groups focus on specific communities and specialist issues. These include dedicated Groups for Young People, Women and a Counter Terrorism IAG.
