Geographical IAG (top level)

There are six IAGs covering the Avon and Somerset area, which anyone living in those areas can join:

  • South Gloucestershire
  • Bath and North East Somerset
  • Bristol
  • North Somerset
  • Somerset East (covering the local authority areas of South Somerset and Mendip)
  • Somerset West (covering the local authority areas of Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane and Somerset West)

Geographical themes

As a member of the geographical IAG, you may be discussing:

  • policing policies, such as Stop and Search
  • local incidents or issues which have an impact on your community or business
  • community concerns
  • observing the police at work
  • taking important information back into your community
  • recruitment of police and staff

Interested in joining an IAG?

We would like to hear from people from a variety of different backgrounds, who have a desire to improve community relations with the police and work together to improve public confidence, trust and safety in Avon and Somerset.

No previous experience needed, other than an experience of life in whatever shape or form. All IAG members are volunteers.
